The Gupta Empire

The Gupta Empire was a wonderful time in India called the Golden Age of India. It lasted from the mid 3rd century to the mid 6th century CE and covered much of northern India.

Great thinkers like Aryabhata, Kalidasa, and Varahamihira lived then and made exciting discoveries. Stories such as the Mahabharata and Ramayana were written down, sharing amazing tales with everyone.

People built beautiful buildings, statues, and paintings. The Gupta Empire was a place where many cultures met and shared ideas. They were kind to everyone, no matter what they believed.

The Gupta Empire ended when it lost some land and power. After this, India had many smaller kingdoms ruling different places. But the Gupta time is remembered for its bright ideas, lovely art, and smart people who helped shape the world.
