The Kaaba is a sacred building in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, and is the most important holy place for Muslims.

Hajj

Hajj is a special journey that Muslims make to Mecca in Saudi Arabia. It is one of the most important traditions in Islam. Muslims who are healthy and can travel are encouraged to go once in their lives.

During Hajj, millions of people come together to follow ancient traditions. They walk around a sacred building called the Kaaba seven times. They also visit special places and do rituals that show unity and faith. Hajj is a time for Muslims to think about their beliefs and ask for forgiveness.

The date of Hajj changes each year because it follows the Islamic calendar, which is based on the moon. In 2026, Hajj will happen from May 18 to June 15. Even though many people want to join, the number of visitors can change for safety reasons, as it did during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The word "Hajj" comes from the Arabic language. It means a special journey or festival. Hajj reminds Muslims of stories from long ago, including those of Abraham and his family. Today, Hajj brings together people from all over the world to share in this important tradition.
