History of Egypt
Egypt is one of the oldest places in the world with a rich and long history. People have lived along the Nile River for thousands of years. Long ago, they learned to grow grain and build farms.
In 3150 BC, King Narmer helped bring different parts of Egypt together. For many years, Egypt was ruled by many kings called dynasties. During this time, they built amazing pyramids like the Giza Pyramids. These pyramids are still standing today and are very famous.
Later, Egypt was ruled by different groups, including the Persians, Greeks, and Romans. In 1517, Egypt became part of the Ottoman Empire.
In more recent times, Britain controlled Egypt during the late 1800s. In 1953, Egypt became a republic. Today, the country is led by Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. Egypt's history has left many important monuments and discoveries that help us learn about the past.
