About Huangshan City

Huangshan is a beautiful city in southern Anhui Province in China. Its name means "Yellow Mountain" because of the amazing Yellow Mountains that cover much of the area. Many people visit Huangshan to see these mountains and other special places.

The city has three main parts called districts and four counties. The biggest part is called Tunxi District. In 2021, about 1.3 million people lived there. Huangshan touches the provinces of Jiangxi and Zhejiang, as well as the cities of Chizhou and Xuancheng.

Special Places and Things

Huangshan is famous for its nature and culture. Two special places are recognized by UNESCO: Mount Huangshan and the historic villages of Hongcun and Xidi. Many visitors come to see these beautiful spots.

The city is also well-known for its tea, especially Keemun tea from Qimen County. Huangshan has a warm, wet climate with hot summers and cool winters. The city has an airport and train stations that make it easier for people to visit.

Friendly City

Huangshan has a special friendship with a place called Serravalle in San Marino. They started this friendship in 1999 and share good ideas and help each other.
