Luanda

Luanda is the capital city of Angola. It is a big, busy city right on the Atlantic coast. Luanda is very important because it is where many things are traded, like food, oil, and other goods. People come here to work, study, and enjoy fun activities.

The city was started a long time ago in 1576 by a Portuguese explorer named Paulo Dias de Novais. Today, Luanda is full of life with many people living there. It is the largest city where Portuguese is the main language spoken. The city has grown very quickly and now has tall buildings and new places to visit.

Luanda is special for its beaches and beautiful views. The city has many places to learn about history, like old churches and museums. One famous place is the Luanda Cathedral, which was built a long time ago. People also love to visit the National Museum of Anthropology to see interesting things about Angola’s culture.

Luanda is also known for its sports. The city has a big stadium called Estádio 11 de Novembro where people watch football games. Many young people enjoy playing sports and supporting their teams. The city is a lively place where everyone can find something fun to do!
