Lumen Field
Lumen Field is a big stadium in Seattle, Washington, in the United States. It is in a part of the city called SoDo. Many sports teams play there. The Seattle Seahawks football team, the Seattle Sounders FC soccer team, and the Seattle Reign FC women’s soccer team all call Lumen Field their home.
The stadium was built between 2000 and 2002. It was first called Seahawks Stadium, then it was named Qwest Field, then CenturyLink Field, and finally Lumen Field in 2020.
Fans of the Seattle Seahawks make the stadium very loud when they cheer. This loud noise helps the team play better. Lumen Field was the first stadium in football to have a special artificial surface for playing games.
Lumen Field has hosted many important soccer games. It held the MLS Cup in 2009 and 2019. It will also host matches for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The stadium is a very important place for sports in Seattle.
