Martin Cooper

Martin Cooper is a clever inventor from America. He loved making new ways for people to talk to each other without wires.

In 1973, Martin made a very special phone call. He used a tiny phone he carried in his hand, not one fixed in a car. This was the first time anyone did this, and it helped change how people stay connected.

Martin worked with his wife, Arlene Harris, to start new companies. These companies made tools to help people talk and use technology better.

Because of his amazing work, Martin got many awards. People call him the “father of the handheld cell phone” for helping create phones we can carry everywhere.
