The National Inventors Hall of Fame is a special place that honors amazing inventors. These are people who created things that help us every day. The Hall of Fame began in 1973 and is run by a group that is not-for-profit, meaning it does not try to make money.

The Hall of Fame has a museum in Alexandria, Virginia. Here, you can see pictures and learn about the clever inventors who changed our world. The museum is free to visit and has fun, hands-on displays. You can even watch shows and see digital portraits of the inventors.

The Hall of Fame does more than just a museum. It has special programs for kids and students. One program is called Camp Invention, a summer camp where children can be creative and solve problems, just like real inventors. There is also a competition for college students to use science and technology to find answers to big questions.

Many wonderful inventors have been honored by the National Inventors Hall of Fame. As of 2025, 652 inventors have been chosen. Some lived a long time ago, and some are still with us today. All of them made inventions that made life better for everyone.
