Night-vision devices
A night-vision device is a special tool that helps people see when it is very dark. These tools can change the tiny bits of light around us into light we can see. This makes it easier to see at night.
Night-vision devices work by using near-infrared light. They change this light into a picture that looks green. Green is easy for our eyes to see in the dark. These devices have lenses and tubes to help make the picture clear.
People have used night-vision devices for many years. They were first made to help during difficult times when countries did not get along. Today, they are used by people who work to keep us safe, like police and soldiers. But they are also used by people who fly planes or drive cars at night.
Night-vision devices can be attached to helmets or held in hands. Some even look like regular glasses. They help people see animals, objects, and other people when there is very little light.
These tools are important because they help people see and stay safe when it is dark outside. They show us a world we cannot usually see with our own eyes.
