Welcome to Noida!
Noida is a lively city in Uttar Pradesh. It is part of a big area called the National Capital Region, or NCR, which includes the busy city of Delhi. Noida was created in 1976 to help spread out growth from Delhi. Today, it is one of India’s most carefully planned cities.
Noida is known for being very green. More than half of the city is covered in plants and trees. The city works hard to keep its environment healthy. There are many beautiful gardens and parks for everyone to enjoy. In 2015, Noida was named the best city in Uttar Pradesh and one of the cleanest cities in India.
The city is also a major center for technology and business. Many big companies have offices and factories there. Famous names like Microsoft, Samsung, and HCL work in Noida. The city helps make a large part of India’s mobile phones. Brands like Samsung and Xiaomi produce most of their phones here. With so many factories and businesses, Noida plays a big role in India’s economy.
Noida has many places where people live and villages. As of 2021, there are 168 areas with homes. The city has many tall buildings and good roads. Some areas used to flood often, but new bridges help with traffic. Noida saves extra money each year in banks.
People in Noida enjoy many parks and green spaces. The Okhla Bird Sanctuary is a special place where many kinds of birds visit each year. The Noida Botanical Garden began in 2002 to protect special and endangered plants. It has many plants and a seed bank with seeds from many plant types.
Noida is well-connected by public transport. The Noida Metro and Delhi Metro make it easy to move around. The Noida Metro has one line called the Aqua Line, which is 29.7 kilometres long and has 21 stops. The Delhi Metro links Noida with many places in Delhi. Local buses, taxis, auto-rickshaws, and cycle rickshaws are also available for shorter trips.
The city has many schools and colleges. One of the main universities is Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University. Other colleges connected to it include Amity University Uttar Pradesh and Jaypee Institute of Information Technology. Noida also has many high schools, such as Amity International School, Noida and Delhi Public School, Noida.
