North Holland

North Holland is a beautiful part of the Netherlands. It is next to the big water called the North Sea. You can find it north of South Holland and near Utrecht.

The biggest city here is Amsterdam. Amsterdam is very famous and many people visit it. It is the capital of the whole Netherlands! North Holland also has a city called Haarlem. There is a very busy airport here called Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. It is one of the busiest airports in Europe.

Nature and Land

North Holland has some wonderful nature places. One of them is called Zuid-Kennemerland National Park. Another is Dunes of Texel National Park. These parks have sandy hills, forests, and beautiful views. The land in North Holland is very flat and some parts are below sea level. There are also islands like Texel that belong to North Holland.

Fun Areas

North Holland has many special areas with their own names. Some of these are Amstelland, Beemster, Bollenstreek, and Waterland. Each of these places has its own charm and things to see. People love to visit these areas to enjoy the scenery and quiet spots.
