Piombino

Piombino is a cozy town in Italy with about 35,000 people. It is found in the province of Livorno in the beautiful area called Tuscany. Piombino sits near where the Ligurian Sea meets the Tyrrhenian Sea, making it close to the sunny island of Elba.

Long ago, Piombino was a busy port for the Etruscans. Today, it still has a lively port where ferries travel to Portoferraio on Elba and to Olbia in Sardinia. The town has many old and special places to see, like the Co-Cathedral of Sant’Antimo and the Rivellino, which is over 800 years old.

Piombino also has a large area for factories and industry, but it still keeps its friendly, seaside charm. The town is close to other nice places like Campiglia Marittima, Follonica, and San Vincenzo.

People in Piombino love their history and beautiful views, making it a wonderful place to visit or live.
