The Quirinal Palace

The Quirinal Palace is a grand, old building in Rome, the capital of Italy. It is the main home of the president of Italy. The palace sits on the Quirinal Hill, the highest of the seven hills of Rome.

Many important people have lived or worked in the Quirinal Palace. It was once used by thirty popes, four kings of Italy, and twelve presidents of the Italian Republic. Today, it is a symbol of Italian history and leadership.

The palace was built in 1583 by Pope Gregory XIII. It has many rooms and beautiful gardens. Inside, there are special rooms for important guests, like kings and leaders from other countries. The gardens are famous and mix old styles from the 1600s and 1700s.

The Quirinal Palace is one of the largest palaces in the world, covering a huge area. It remains an important place for Italy and its leaders.
