Rain

Rain is when tiny water droplets fall from the sky. It is an important part of the water cycle. Rain helps give us fresh water and makes plants grow.

Rain happens when warm air holds lots of water. When the air cools, the water forms clouds. When the droplets in the clouds get heavy enough, they fall as rain.

Rain is good for farms because it waters the crops. It also helps fill rivers and lakes. Without rain, many places would be very dry.

Some places get a lot of rain, like rainforests. Other places, like deserts, get very little rain.

Rain can change depending on where you live. In some areas, there are special times of year when it rains a lot, called the wet season.

Rain is important for our world. It gives water to plants, animals, and people. Next time it rains, remember how important it is!
