Romulus: The Founder of Rome

Romulus is known as the first king of Rome. He is famous for helping to start the city and making its first rules and traditions.

Many fun stories tell about Romulus and his early life. He was said to be the son of a goddess and a god. As a child, he was cared for by a wolf until he was found and raised by a kind shepherd family.

When he grew up, Romulus decided to build a city. He chose a special hill called the Palatine Hill to start Rome. He made laws, organized people into groups, and created a team of leaders called the Senate to help him rule.

Because of his important role, Romulus is remembered as a key figure in how Rome began and grew into a great city. His story shows what early Romans valued about leadership and building a community together.
