Safari Rally

The Safari Rally is a big car race in Kenya. It started in 1953 to celebrate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. For many years, it was part of the World Rally Championship.

People think of it as one of the most exciting races in the world. It is very popular in Africa. The race covers many types of roads, like soft sand and rough paths. Drivers need to be careful and smart to win.

In 2003, a special race called the East African Safari Rally began. This race happens every two years and only allows cars made before 1985. It is a fun event for fans of old cars.

The Safari Rally returned to the World Rally Championship in 2021 after a long break. Many great drivers have won this race over the years. It is a thrilling event for everyone who loves car racing.
