What is Science?

Science is a fun way to learn about the world around us. Scientists ask questions and then do tests to find answers. They make guesses, called hypotheses, and test them to see if they are right.

Different Kinds of Science

There are many areas of science. Some study nature, like plants, animals, and space. Others study people and how societies work.

Why Science is Important

Science helps us understand everything better. It teaches us about health, nature, and amazing new inventions. Scientists work together at schools, labs, and companies. They love to learn and solve problems. Their work can even win prizes like the Nobel Prize.

A Short History

Science has been around for thousands of years. Old ideas about numbers and stars came from places like Egypt and Mesopotamia. These ideas helped thinkers in Greece and later during a time called the Scientific Revolution.

How Science Works

Scientists use something called the scientific method. This means they watch, ask questions, and do experiments. They use math to understand what they find. Other scientists check their work to make sure it is right. This careful way of learning helps us discover new things about nature.
