Somalia is a country in the easternmost part of Africa, located in the Horn of Africa. It is bordered by Ethiopia to the west, Djibouti to the northwest, Kenya to the southwest, the Gulf of Aden to the north, and the Indian Ocean to the east. Somalia has the longest coastline of any country on Africa's mainland.

Somalia has a rich history as a key trading center. Powerful empires like the Ajuran Sultanate and the Adal Sultanate once thrived there. Today, Somalia is one of the least developed countries in the world, but it is working toward rebuilding and development.
People and Language
The population of Somalia is over 18 million, with the capital city being Mogadishu. Most people in Somalia are ethnic Somalis, and they speak the Somali language. Arabic is also recognized, and many Somalis speak it due to historical ties and religious education. English and Italian are also spoken in some areas.

Football is the most popular sport in Somalia, and the country has its own league and national team.
