Welcome to St. Louis!

St. Louis is a lively city in the U.S. state of Missouri. It sits near where the Mississippi River and the Missouri River meet. This special spot has made St. Louis an important place for trade and travel for many years.

A City Full of Fun

St. Louis is home to many exciting places to visit. One of the most famous is the Gateway Arch, a tall, shiny monument that looks like a door to new adventures. Families love to visit the St. Louis Zoo, where they can see animals from all around the world without paying an entry fee! Another favorite is the Missouri Botanical Garden, with beautiful flowers and plants in a lovely green space.

Sports and Cheer

People in St. Louis love their sports teams! The St. Louis Cardinals play baseball, and many fans cheer for them at Busch Stadium. Another popular team is the St. Louis Blues, who play hockey. In 2019, the Blues won a big championship called the Stanley Cup, and fans celebrated everywhere!

Parks and Playgrounds

St. Louis has many parks where kids can play and have fun. Forest Park is one of the biggest and best. It has the zoo, an art museum, a science center, and even a theater where you can watch shows under the stars. Another nice spot is Gateway Arch National Park, where you can learn about the history of explorers who traveled west.

Learning and Growing

St. Louis is also a place for learning. There are big universities like Washington University in St. Louis and Saint Louis University. These schools help students from all over the world discover new things and prepare for their futures.

Traveling Around

Getting around St. Louis is easy! The city has buses and a special train called MetroLink that takes you to different parts of the city and nearby areas. There are also highways for cars, and two airports for people flying in and out. The Port of St. Louis lets ships bring goods and visitors, too.

St. Louis is a wonderful city with lots to see and do. Whether you’re exploring famous landmarks, cheering for your favorite team, or just enjoying a day in the park, there’s always something fun for everyone!
