Theology

Theology is the study of religious belief. It looks at ideas about divinity and the history of different religions. People who study theology often go to universities or seminaries to learn more.

Theologians think about the supernatural and ask big questions about revelation. They wonder how people believe that God, gods, or deities can affect our world. This helps them understand many religious topics better.

Studying theology can help someone learn more about their own religion, discover facts about other religions, or even ask new questions about religious beliefs. It offers tools to explore big ideas about divinity and what life means.

The word “theology” comes from old Greek words: theos meaning “god” and logia meaning “reasoning”. People have used this word for a long time to talk about gods and what is true about them. Today, theology includes the study of many religions, not just one.
