All About Tilapia

Tilapia are a group of friendly fish that live in freshwater places like rivers, lakes, and ponds, mostly in Africa and the Middle East. You can also find them in places where the water is a little salty. These fish have been important to people for a very long time.

In many countries, tilapia is a popular food. It is tasty, easy to cook, and costs less than many other fish. People in the Philippines and the United States love to eat tilapia. It can be fried or baked to make yummy meals.

Tilapia are special because they can live in many different water types. They also help keep water clean by eating tiny plants and algae. In some places, tilapia even help stop the spread of sickness by eating things that can make people ill.

These fish have flat bodies and interesting shapes. Some can grow as long as two feet! They are easy to raise on farms, which helps give people healthy food. Tilapia is a good source of protein and has important nutrients that help our bodies grow strong.
