Toledo is a beautiful city in Spain. It sits on a hill by the Tagus River. People have lived here for a very long time. Toledo is special because of its old buildings and history.

Toledo started as a home for the Carpetanian people. Later, the Romans came and built many things. After that, Toledo became important for the Visigothic Kingdom. Over the years, many different groups lived there, sharing their ideas and traditions.
Famous Sights
Today, Toledo is known for its amazing old buildings. One of the most famous is the large Gothic cathedral. People from all over come to see it. The city was named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986 because of its rich history.

Toledo makes things like beautiful swords and silk. It is also a place where you can learn about the past. The city has many old streets, churches, and museums. Everyone who visits loves to walk around and see all the wonderful sights.
