Venice faces some challenges, like too many visitors and rising sea levels. But people work hard to protect this wonderful city. It was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987 because it is very important to the world.

Exploring Venice

Venice is made up of six areas called sestieri. These are Cannaregio, Castello, Dorsoduro, San Marco, San Polo, and Santa Croce. Each area has its own charm and history.
