Marc Gagnon

Marc Gagnon (born May 24, 1975) is a Canadian former short track speed skater. He was known for his great skills and determination on the ice.
Gagnon became a four-time Overall World Champion in the years 1993, 1994, 1996, and 1998. His wins showed his talent and consistency in the sport.
He also won three Olympic gold medals, which are some of the highest honors an athlete can achieve. These successes made him a celebrated figure in the world of winter sports.
Biography
Marc Gagnon was born in Chicoutimi, Quebec. He started his Olympic journey in 1994 and won his first bronze medal in the 1000 m race. In 1998, at the Nagano Games in Japan, he won a gold medal as part of the Canadian relay team.
His best performance was at the 2002 Salt Lake City Games in Salt Lake City, where he earned three medals: a bronze in the 1500 m and two golds in the 500 m and relay events. Gagnon's achievements made him the most decorated Canadian Winter Olympian until 2006. He won four Overall World Championships in 1993, 1994, 1996, and 1998.
In 2007, Gagnon was honored by being inducted into the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame, and in 2008, he joined Canada's Sports Hall of Fame.
