Anaheim Ducks
The Anaheim Ducks are a fun ice hockey team based in Anaheim, California. They play in the National Hockey League, one of the best hockey leagues in the world. The Ducks are part of the Pacific Division in the Western Conference.
The team was started in 1993 by the Walt Disney Company. In 2005, a new owner bought the team and changed its name to the Anaheim Ducks. Today, the Ducks are owned by Henry and Susan Samueli.
The Ducks play their home games at the Honda Center, a big arena full of excited fans. Their mascot is a cartoon duck named Wild Wing, who adds fun to every game.
One of the best moments for the Ducks was in 2007 when they won the Stanley Cup, the biggest prize in hockey. Many fans still talk about that wonderful year!
The Ducks have had many great players over the years. Teemu Selanne, known as "The Finnish Flash," scored lots of goals and made many fans happy. Other famous players include Paul Kariya and Scott Niedermayer.
