Boudica

Boudica was a brave queen from an ancient tribe called the Iceni. She lived in a place that is now called Norfolk. Her husband, Prasutagus, was the king of the Iceni tribe.

When her husband passed away, the Romans did not treat Boudica or her family fairly. This made Boudica very sad and angry. She wanted to help her people get justice.

Boudica’s story became very famous again many years later. People in England started telling her story in books and poems. Today, statues of Boudica can be seen in places like London. She is remembered as a strong and important leader in British history.

Her tale is told in old books written by people who lived long after her time, such as Tacitus and Cassius Dio. Even though we do not have pictures of what she looked like, her story continues to inspire many.
