Bruit Island
Bruit Island, also called Pulau Bruit, is a beautiful place in Malaysia. It is found in the Rejang Delta and is part of Daro District in Mukah Division. This island is the second largest in all of Malaysia!
One fun thing about Bruit Island is its special mudflats. These mudflats are very important for birds. They help protect bird homes and were chosen as an Important Bird Area by BirdLife International. Many people who love nature visit to see the wildlife.
People have lived on Bruit Island since before the year 1830. The island has many fishing villages, with big ones named Kampung Semop and Kg. Bruit. To get to the island, visitors take ferries from places like Sibu town and Daro town. Soon, two bridges will be built to make travel even easier!
