Kindergarten
Kindergarten is a fun place where very young children learn and play. It is for kids usually between the ages of two and six. In kindergarten, children do fun things like playing, singing, and drawing. This helps them get ready to go to school.
The idea of kindergarten started a long time ago in Germany and Alsace. A teacher named Friedrich Fröbel made up the word “kindergarten.” He thought children should grow like plants in a garden. Today, many countries have kindergartens to help young children learn and grow in a happy place.
In many places, kindergarten looks a little different. In Australia, it might be the first year of primary school or a kind of preschool. In Canada, most schools have one year of kindergarten for five-year-olds. In Japan, children go to preschools or kindergartens to learn manners and how to be with others. Each country has its own way to help kids get ready for school.
Kindergarten is a special time for children to learn through play and have fun with friends. It makes starting school easier and more exciting for everyone!
