The Beautiful Peloponnese

Fun Places and Stories

The Peloponnese has many exciting places to see! It has mountains, beaches, and many islands nearby, like the Argo-Saronic Islands and the Ionian islands. The biggest city is Patras. Long, long ago, many important stories from old Greek myths happened here, like the tales of Heracles and Perseus.

People have lived in the Peloponnese since very old times. One famous place is Mycenae, where big strong walls were built. Another special spot is Olympia, where the Ancient Olympic Games were held many years ago.
