Providence Park
Providence Park is a very special soccer stadium in Portland, Oregon. It is where two fun soccer teams play: the Portland Timbers and the Portland Thorns FC. Many people love to watch games here because it is one of the oldest soccer-only stadiums in the United States.
The stadium has been there since 1893, but it became a full stadium in 1926. Over the years, it has had many names, like Multnomah Stadium and Civic Stadium. Today, it is called Providence Park.
Providence Park is not just for soccer. It has also hosted many other events, like concerts and special games. Famous singers like Elvis Presley have performed there, and it even appeared in a TV show!
Outside the stadium, you can see beautiful ivy covering the walls and fun art pieces. There is even a group of friendly wild cats that live near the field. They are taken care of by special helpers.
Providence Park is a wonderful place where families and friends come together to enjoy soccer and other exciting events. It is a big part of Portland’s history and will keep making memories for many years to come.
