What is Southeast Europe?
Southeast Europe is a beautiful part of the continent that includes many interesting lands. It is sometimes called the Balkans. This area has many different cultures and histories, which makes it very special.
Countries and Cities
Some of the countries in Southeast Europe are Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, and the European part of Turkey. Big cities here include Istanbul, Athens, Bucharest, Sofia, and Belgrade.
Why Do We Know About It?
People have lived in Southeast Europe for a very long time, and it has many important places and histories. Different groups sometimes have different ideas about which lands belong to this area, but it is known for its rich culture and many friendly countries working together.
