Welcome to Vietnam!

Vietnam is a beautiful country in Mainland Southeast Asia. It has over 102 million people living there. Vietnam is bordered by China to the north, and Laos and Cambodia to the west. The capital city is Hanoi, and the biggest city is Ho Chi Minh City.

A Land of Many Places

Vietnam has many amazing places to see! In the north, you can visit Hanoi, where old buildings and busy streets make a fun trip. The Red River Delta is a flat area with many rivers and canals. In the south, Ho Chi Minh City is full of life and energy. Near the city, you can find beautiful beaches and islands.

One of the most famous places is Hạ Long Bay, where limestone rocks rise out of the water like giants. It looks like a fairy tale! Another great spot is Phong Nha – Kẻ Bàng National Park, home to huge caves and forests.

Nature and Animals

Vietnam is full of nature! It has mountains, forests, and many animals. You can find monkeys, birds, and even some rare animals like the saola. The country has many rivers and lakes, too. Ba Bể Lake is one of the biggest lakes in Vietnam, and it’s surrounded by green hills.

Vietnam also has beautiful beaches. Places like Nha Trang are popular for swimming and enjoying the sun. The weather changes through the year, so there’s always something nice to do outside.

Vietnamese Life

People in Vietnam love their families and traditions. One big holiday is Tết, which is like New Year for Vietnamese people. During Tết, families come together, clean their homes, and give red envelopes of money to children. They also visit temples and enjoy special foods.

Vietnamese food is delicious! Common dishes include phở, a tasty noodle soup, and gỏi cuốn, which are fresh salad rolls. People often eat with their hands and share food from the center of the table. The food uses many herbs and vegetables, making it very fresh and flavorful.

Fun and Games

Vietnam has its own special sports and games. One popular martial art is Vovinam, which teaches strength and discipline. Many people also enjoy watching and playing football (soccer). In the Olympics, Vietnam has won medals and is proud of its athletes.

Children in Vietnam love to play traditional games, like đá cầu (kicking a ball) and bầu cua cá cọp (a game with shells). These games bring friends together and are fun for everyone.

Vietnam is a wonderful place with rich culture, beautiful nature, and friendly people. Whether you’re exploring busy cities, quiet villages, or amazing landscapes, there’s always something exciting to discover!
