The World Series

The World Series is a big baseball event. It is the championship series for Major League Baseball, the top baseball league in North America. Every year, the best teams from two leagues play to see who will be the champion.

The World Series is played as a best-of-seven. This means the first team to win four games wins the whole series. The winner gets a special trophy called the Commissioner's Trophy.

Usually, the World Series happens in October. Because of this, people often call it the Fall Classic. Sometimes, it starts a little earlier or goes a bit later because of weather or changes in the baseball schedule.

Before 1969, the teams with the best records in each league would go straight to the World Series. But since then, teams have to go through more rounds to get there. They first play in the Division Series, then the League Championship Series, and finally, the World Series. This makes it very exciting for baseball fans!

Through the years, the World Series has been played many times. It is one of the most watched sports events every year. Many people love to watch and cheer for their favorite teams.

Baseball is a fun game played with a bat and ball. Teams take turns batting and fielding. The goal is to score more runs than the other team. The World Series is a special time when the best teams battle for the championship. It brings together fans from all over to enjoy the game they love.
