The Gulf of St. Lawrence
The Gulf of St. Lawrence is a big, beautiful body of water near Canada. It touches many places like Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador. Even a tiny group of islands called Saint-Pierre and Miquelon, which belong to France, sit inside it.
This special gulf links the Great Lakes to the Atlantic Ocean through the St. Lawrence River. This helps boats and ships travel easily between many parts of Canada and the rest of the world. The Gulf is also full of fish and home to many sea animals that love to play here.
Places Near the Gulf
The Gulf of St. Lawrence is close to many interesting spots. To the north, you can find the Labrador Peninsula and Quebec. To the east are Saint-Pierre and Newfoundland. The south has the Nova Scotia peninsula and Cape Breton Island. To the west, it touches the Gaspé Peninsula, New Brunswick, and more of Quebec.

The Gulf is a wonderful home for many sea creatures. You can see Humpback whales jumping and playing in the water. There are also other whales like the Beluga whale and Fin whale. These animals make the Gulf a lively and exciting place to explore.

Near the Gulf, there are beautiful parks and safe places to visit. Cape Breton Highlands National Park in Nova Scotia has amazing trails to walk on.
