Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders are a team that plays American football. They are based in the Las Vegas area and play in the National Football League (NFL). Their home games are held at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.

The Raiders were first started in 1960 in Oakland, California. They were one of the first teams in the American Football League (AFL). Later, the AFL and NFL joined together. The team moved to Los Angeles for a while, then returned to Oakland. In 2020, they moved to Las Vegas.

The Raiders have won many important games, including four AFC championships and three Super Bowl championships. They are known for their exciting games and loyal fans, called the Raider Nation.

A Little History

When the Raiders began in Oakland, they were called the Oakland Señors for a short time before becoming the Raiders. They played their first game in 1960. Over the years, they have had many great players and coaches. Famous coaches like John Madden helped the team win big games.

Home Stadium

Today, the Raiders play at Allegiant Stadium. It is a modern stadium that can hold many fans. Before moving to Las Vegas, they played at the Oakland Coliseum for many years.

Fans

Fans of the Raiders are known as the Raider Nation. They are passionate and can be found all over the United States and the world. At home games, fans often gather early and wear team colors to show their support.

The Raiders have had many important people help the team. Al Davis was a famous owner and coach who led the team for many years. Today, leaders like Sandra Douglass Morgan help guide the team.

The Raiders continue to be a exciting part of American football, with a rich history and a bright future in Las Vegas.
