Miami Marlins
The Miami Marlins are a fun baseball team based in Miami, Florida. They play in Major League Baseball and are part of the National League East Division. Their home games are held at LoanDepot Park.
The Marlins started in 1993 as the Florida Marlins. In 2012, they moved to a new stadium and changed their name to the Miami Marlins. Over the years, the team has had both good and tough times.
One of the best moments for the Marlins was winning the World Series in 1997 and again in 2003. The World Series is the biggest championship in baseball, and only a few teams have won it twice.
In 2020, the Marlins made history by hiring Kim Ng as their general manager. She was the first woman to hold this job in Major League Baseball. She helped the team reach the playoffs in 2023, which is when the team plays extra games to see if they can go to the World Series.
Fans love watching the Marlins because they play with lots of energy and spirit. The team's colors are orange, blue, and red, which they wear proudly during every game.
