The Norwegian Sea
The Norwegian Sea is a big part of the ocean near Norway. It sits between the North Sea and the Greenland Sea. This sea is special because it stays free of ice all year. Warm water from the North Atlantic Current keeps it warm.
The sea is full of fish! Many fish, like cod, come here to lay their eggs. The water is also home to tiny plants and animals that float along the surface. In the spring, these tiny plants make the water look green.
People have fished in the Norwegian Sea for many years. The sea gives Norway lots of fish to eat and sell. The sea also has oil and natural gas under its floor. These help give energy to many places.
The Norwegian Sea is a meeting place for animals from colder and warmer areas. Whales, dolphins, and seabirds all live here or visit. They depend on the fish for food. The sea is a busy place where nature and people work together.
