Seychelles

Seychelles is a beautiful group of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean. It is the smallest country in Africa and has only about 100,600 people.

The capital city is Victoria. It is located 1,500 kilometres east of Africa.

Today, Seychelles is an independent country. It is known for having a high quality of life. Many people visit Seychelles for its lovely beaches and clear water.

The islands are home to many interesting animals and plants. One special plant is the coco de mer palm, which has a very heavy seed. There are also unique crabs and tortoises that live only on these islands.

People in Seychelles enjoy music, dancing, and good food. Fish and seafood are popular in meals, often served with rice. The islands also have beautiful art galleries and schools where children can learn.

Seychelles is part of important groups like the United Nations, the African Union, and the Commonwealth of Nations. It works hard to protect its nature and welcome visitors from all over the world.
