Thailand took part in the 2008 Summer Olympics. The games were held in Beijing, the capital of the People's Republic of China, from August 8 to August 24, 2008.

Many athletes from Thailand joined together to compete in many different sports. The Olympics is a special event where countries from all over the world come together to see who is the best at various games and activities. For Thailand, this was a chance to show their skills and represent their country on a big stage.

Athletics

Thailand sent athletes to take part in running and walking on the track. They also joined in field events such as throwing and jumping. The athletes competed in a heptathlon, a contest with seven different track and field tests.

Boxing

Thailand had eight boxers in the Olympic boxing event. Five boxers got their spots by doing well at the 2007 World Championships. The other three, Petchkoom, Manus Boonjumnong, and Chomphuphuang, earned their places at the first Asian qualifier.
