Portrush
Portrush is a cozy seaside town on the north coast of County Antrim in Northern Ireland. It is close to another fun town called Portstewart in County Londonderry. The town sits on a long piece of land called a peninsula named Ramore Head.
Portrush is famous for its three beautiful sandy beaches: the West Strand, East Strand, and White Rocks. People love to visit these beaches for fun and sun. The town is also well known for the Royal Portrush Golf Club. This special golf club is the only one outside Great Britain to host The Open Championship, a big golf tournament.
Long ago, people lived in Portrush as far back as around 4000 BC. The town grew into a fishing place and later became a popular spot for tourists. Today, Portrush still charms visitors with its lovely beaches, old buildings, and fun places to explore.
You can also visit the famous Giant's Causeway nearby, reached by a special tramway from Portrush. The town has many interesting spots, like the Coastal Zone and beautiful walks to see old castles. Every year, Portrush holds exciting events, such as an air show and a fun raft race.
Portrush is a lovely place to visit and remember!
